Today, Cash Mob Sherwood set the time, date and location for the next hit is scheduled for Saturday, April 14th at 11:00 am. The location will be in Sherwood to support another locally owned business. In true Cash Mob style no announcements will be made until 24 hours prior. The official release will be on the facebook page and updated right here on this post.
Last Months Cash Mob
Cash Mob Sherwood launched their first mob and descended upon Sweet Story, a locally owned bakery in Old Town Sherwood. Approximately 100 mobbers took action on their local economy by supporting this locally owned business in the Sherwood community together. The owner of Sweet Story, Michelle Howard was beside herself with the outcome that day. The repeat business since the mob on March 17th has also provided a ripple effect. Money spent here stays here longer - we're not only doing others a service by shopping local, we're helping add vibrancy and value to where we live.
The Selection Process
On Monday we popped in on Michelle Howard to say hello and request her assistance in randomly drawing a name from the locally owned businesses nominated so far. Each cash mob card has a business name on the opposite side. We asked Michelle to select one and hold it out front so she couldn't see it and we snapped a photo. She has no idea who she drew and will be passing the torch to -- but we're sure excited to show her picture holding up the name of the next business on our "hit list" when we make the big reveal to the mobbers ready to unite and take action... So exciting!
When the announcement of the date and time was made and shared around facebook today, Michelle shared with one of us her excitement... She said, "I'm dying to know who the next "hit" will be!!! It was soooooo much fun for us at SweetStory! An amazing experience I can't wait for others to have!" -- Thank you Michelle. We couldn't agree more!
